Loveness Timbira is an Economist in the Expenditure Department of the Ministry of Finance, Government of Zimbabwe. She is responsible for the formulation and management of the National Budget. She is the alternate gender focal person in the Ministry of Finance. She is a holder a Bachelors Degree in Economics. She is an expert in public finance management.
Egnes Nhengo is a gender budgeting and gender mainstreaming programme officer in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Community Development in Zimbabwe. She is a holder of a Bsc Honours Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in development studies. She is an expert in gender mainstreaming, gender budgeting , human rights of women and children, sexual reproductive rights and HIV/AIDS, policy analysis and planning, strategic planning, project management and gender advocacy.
Kennedy Mudawarima is the Deputy Director in the Gender Department in the Ministry of Women Affairs Gender & Community Development in Zimbabwe. He is responsible for managing and supervising the implementation of the gender budgeting programmes and coordinating the development and implementation of sector work-plans for gender mainstreaming. He is a holder of a Masters Degree in Education.
Emma Kaliya is a Gender and Human Rights Activist, working as programme Manager with the Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre. She holds the position of Chairperson of the NGO Gender Coordinating Network in Malawi. Emma dedicated a good part of her life helping people to help themselves especially women cutting across all sectors of society with a special focus on poor women. In 2009, she was recognized for the goo work that she did around assisting women to get into decision making positions and in this particular case the Malawi parliament. She was therefore awarded the Southern Africa special commemoration drivers f change award by the Southern African Trust and Mail & Guardian Newspaper. In Malawi she is a member of the Malawi National Advisory Council on strategic planning as an Advisor to the President on women issues.
Dziwana Shawa is a Budget Officer in the Ministry of Finance of Malawi. She is responsible for developing budget statements, budgeting, coordinating with line ministries to keep in line with the budget advising ministries to follow budget. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics.
Ruth M. Mukono is a resourceful Budget Analyst in the Ministry of Finance within the Government of the Republic of Namibia, with over 5 years of experience in various capacities. Her current responsibilities include management of budgets in social and public safety sectors of the Public Service of the Government of the Republic of Namibia. She also drafts contents for the Medium Term Expenditure Framework which is the budget book tabled by the Minister of Finance in Parliament, analyze draft budget proposals for both expenditure and revenue ensuring that budgets are descriptive and she is a seasoned trainer on Programme Budgeting.
Arina Manyanya is the Deputy Director in the Expenditure Department of the Ministry of Finance Government of Zimbabwe. She is responsible for the formulation and management of the National Budget. She is the gender focal person in the Ministry of Finance. She is a holder of a Masters Degree in Economics and has expertise in Public Financial Management, Budget formulation and management, PR of Developemtn Plans.
Dr. Charity Manyeruke is a Lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe’s Department of Politics and Administrative Studies, Zimbabwe.
She is also the Board Member of the TRADES Centre. Dr Charity Manyeruke holds a Doctor of Philosophy as well as an MSc International Relations and a BSc Politics and Administration. She has extensive experience in the field of research. She is also the deputy chairperson of the Zimbabwe Gender Budgeting Network.
Gayle Schroeder is the Gender Technical Advisor at the Southern African Development Community (SADC). She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Guelph, Canada in the Collaborative International Development Studies (CIDS) program, with a focus on gender and development issues. She is certified in Gender Equality tools, implementation, analysis and strategies. Before coming to SADC, she interned at the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) as an Assistant Project Officer researching gender issues in the Balkans and worked with CUSO, a Canadian International Development Organization, as a Gender Equity Committee Researcher.
Julius Mukunda is the Director of Gender Budget Programme Forum On Women and Democracy in Uganda with expertise in the application of GRB at national and local level, GRB training and gender budget analysis. Julius is also a Member of the East Africa GRB Network
Kwanele Jirira is an expert in Gender Analysis, gender and politics/decision-making; gender and labour/industrial relations; gender and economics/economic justice; gender and peace work; conflict resolution; conciliation and mediation; gender mainstreaming; gender and monetary policy; gender budgeting; gender audits; gender training and research; gender and trade union organisations, local government and governance issues; gender and governance issues and gender and agriculture/agrarian issues.
Sizakele Shongwe is the Director of Gender in the National Department of Social Development in South Africa. She was available on the formation of the Regional Gender Budgeting meeting in June 2009 and also participated on the Gender Budgeting Training of Trainers workshop in 2010.
