Who We Are

The Zimbabwe Women’s Resource Centre and Network (ZWRCN) is a non- governmental organization committed to promoting women’s social and economic justice in Zimbabwe and globally, through the power of information, networking, and strategic advocacy.
We are motivated by the belief that all human beings must fully enjoy the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), and the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development, among other gender equality instruments. These human rights instruments affirm that ‘women’s rights are human rights’ and recognize the inherent rights of every person whether male or female. In this respect, ZWRCN stands for Women’s Human Rights.

  • Social and economic transformation of women in Zimbabwe.

  • Collaboration with Research Agencies, Institutions of data and learning resource center for women’s empowerment and gender equality.

About Us

Zimbabwe Women’s Resource Centre and Network (ZWRCN) has been working in the sector for the past thirty-one years (1990 – 2021) focusing on women’s rights activism in Zimbabwe, the SADC region and globally.
